As some of you may have noticed, there is a lot of, uhm... disgruntlement? at the DAZ's forum because of their release of the new Victoria 6 based on the also new Genesis 2 figure. The problem is that Genesis 2 is not compatible with Genesis 1, so basically you have to buy everything again for the new 6th generation: characters, clothings, shoes, hair etc...
I don't care about that since I still use Victoria 4 and Micheal 4 (and sometimes even V3 and M3), I have Victoria 5 that I won as a prize in a contest some time ago but I never used her, I'm perfectly fine with V4 especially after I bought the Xameva and Meipe's fixes.
So, after reading all the gripes at the DAZ's forum you know what I did? I went to Renderosity and bought a nice pair of shoes for my Vicky

I used to give thanks to any one who faved my images or added me to their watching list. After my long absence from here I found a gazillion of new favourites, watchers and messages, and give a reply to all of them is an overhelming job I simply can't do :-)
So let my give a big TAHNK YOU to all my friends who bother to come here to see my stuff, add it to their favorites, watch me or take the time to leave a comment to these images I don't even dare to call art (actually: mainly sexy naked girls, sometimes trains or railway stuff, some sci-fi things, rarely some dramatic scenes :D ).

Hi all guys, I’m finally back.
I had an hard disk failure on my computer so I started to reinstall DAZ Studio and alla the 3d stuff on a new hard disk, but I never finished because I went really busy with my job. On August 2016 a major earthquake struck central Italy when I live, I suffered no damages but since I am a civil engineer I was (and still I am) quite busy in the emergency recovery and reconstruction.
Now that things are starting to go slightly slower I have more time to bother you all with my 3D images. I bought a new and shiny MacBook Pro and rebuilt almost completely my old 3D library, I have to re-learn some things sin

Some time ago I upgraded my Reality 2.5 to the new version 4. It was a big delusion, it was full of bugs and the new interface was a bit, uhm... not user friendly, but since I'm always an optimist I awaited for some bug corrections and, maybe, some way to make the user's life a bit easier in doing simple tasks like changing the specularity of a surface. I also thought that, in the end, I'll become accustomed to the new interface and I'll start enjoying the "improvements" introduced by the new version. The new Reality for DAZ Studio
About a year ago I bought the Reality plug-in for DAZ Studio and since then I've completely abandoned the native 3Delight render engine. Not only Luxrender is far superior in the results but Reality makes really easy to set-up the surfaces for the render, it is even better than the surface tool of DAZ Studio. Obviously it had some small issues, so I was eagerly waiting for the new version to come out: if the version 2.5 was fantastic the next release (numbered 4, the 3 was skipped) should have been superlative.
Well, guess what? The new version is a complete delusion, sadly I bought it from Renderosity so there is no possibility to ask for a

Well, I was a sucker and shelled out for V5 when she first arrived. I've used her probably 5-6 times for testing renders, but never produced anything that I wanted to upload. Safe to say, I won't be upgrading to V6 or Genesis 2.
In some ways I do feel sorry for the people who have spent a lot of money on content for Genesis 1, but in all honesty it's their problem and not mine. For the amount of money people have spent (one person on DAZ said they had spent 3K in three months...WTF?!?!?! I've not even spent 3K on content in the 3-4 years of using DAZ) they could have gone out and got fixes for V4, and morphs packs from RDNA that add all kinds of new shapes and styles to V4 and still had a bucket load of money left to buy new items of clothing etc for good old V4.
The problem is that everyone is moaning and complaining but you can guarantee a lot of those people will still make the purchases. Companies are driven by their bottom line, if people boycott V6 and Genesis 2, DAZ will not make back the money they have spent developing the new character and will have their hand forced by the customers to produce what customers will actually pay for. They don't understand that as a consumer, the power is in your hands. If everyone banded together and refused to buy the new items, DAZ would soon find their pockets running empty and would have no choice but to listen to what their customers are saying.
This whole thing is a perfect example of why I hardly ever view the DAZ forums. The place is often very negative and just seems like a place to sit and moan about DAZ and how they are doing everything 'wrong'. Personally, I think DAZ are entitled to do what they wish, it's their products, their company, their risk and reward. The problem comes from people saying they are un-happy but still going out and paying for all these things. If you support a company when you feel they are wronging you, they will continue to wrong you. People have to make a stand for themselves and also stand together as a community. I won't be getting involved as I have no desire to upgrade from V4 as I feel she is fine as she is once you spend a little money on fixes.
All hail generation 4 models...and all hail the Toad World Order...damn, wrong place for the last hail, hehehe.
